CELAEP conducts studies and research projects from a rigorous and independent scientific perspective.  We promote the development of critical thinking, deep inquiry and respect for diversity.  Thus, CELAEP, by promoting research, seeks to impact on the formulation of public policies to strengthen the country's democratic institutions and thereby improve the quality of life of citizens.

CELAEP carries out consultancy and technical assistance in the fields of public policy, democracy, governance, security, economics and international studies.  Our contribution is to support the public sector, central government and local governments as well as private sector corporations.  We ensure that all our work, consultancy and technical assistance lies within the identification of new opportunities, public policy design and improved decision making.

CELAEP has performed throughout the year seminars, forums and round tables in their areas of expertise.  Several of the events we have done in Ecuador have been made in joint cooperation with FLACSO, universities, NGOs, cooperation agencies and research centers nationally and internationally.
